What Happened To FriendlyPay?

Back in April I concluded an email interview with FriendlyPay. The piece generated some good questions and input about the company.

However, in July and early August I began to receive reader input that FriendlyPay was not responding to customers emails and was not operating their day to day business. One such email is below.

“Hello Mark. Your interview with the founders of FriendlyPay was very interesting. I am a member of FriendlyPay and I am being affected by FriendlyPay’s ongoing management change as I have, what I consider to be, a fairly large withdrawal pending for more than one and half months. Emails and internal FP messages are no longer answered so, if you have other means of contacting anyone at FP, I would like to ask you do so on behalf of other members and myself to find out what the current status is….last withdrawal has been pending since June 26″

The index page of the FriendlyPay web shows this announcement,

FriendlyPay is undergoing the management change. During this stage, basic operations are halted until all proper paperwork is in order. Along with new management, many new features are planned for FriendlyPay in the near future. We anticipate this change to last no longer than two to four weeks. Once the change is complete, you will receive a Welcome e-mail from new management with important information about your accounts and plans for new FriendlyPay. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience. Please refrain from e-mailing us during this transitional stage as we may not be able to address your concerns in a timely manner. We appreciate your patience.

Does anyone have additional information on how long their vacation will last or if its permanent? Any, further details on FriendlyPay please comment here, or contact me via email. Thanks.

PPREI is still in business from what I know. But the organization suffered greatly as a result. Rupert, the main man behind PPREI, said that PPREI will honor all members loses however.

Has anyone received any new info about what happened to FriendlyPay? Any lawsuits, anything?

Yup, friendlypay is gone, and took all the money.
It appears to be a big scam. PPrei lost a lot of money and I am not sure if Pprei is still in business because of this scam.

Today I attempted to access the members area. For the first time since this problem began, it does not function. This does not bode well! Emails sent are returned undeliverable?

From what i understand FriendlyPay was sold over a year ago and when the main guy behind FP (who created it, Timothy) left, things started to fall apart over there. It was sold to a company in the US I think. Will have to track down that info and see if it says who it was……

There is some activity. My monthly fee was removed from my account for Sept. and Oct.?

It was a P.O. Box in Vernon B.C.

Thanks for your comments but I have not heard anything else on FriendlyPay at all. Its a dead silence so if you uncover any further information, please drop by and let us know.

    Thanks again.

Not so sure about Revelstoke now – somebody told me Kelowna and that does sound familiar, too. Anyway, it was definitely in the interior and not Vancouver or Victoria.

I haven’t heard of anyone trying a legal claim against them.

I’m trying to pursue this through a paralegal. Has anyone already done this? Has anyone previously been successful with a small claim in Canada? Please let me know – ssj@operamail.com

I believe it was Revelstoke. I sent them a deposit by mail a few years ago but I don’t remember the full address. Revelstoke is a pretty small place, though.

Are they still headquatered in BC? Was it Vancouver or Victoria? I’ve got a pending withdrawal and almost zero other balance. Has anyone with an FP account balance been able to withdraw to e-bullion or is it just member to member?
