Vitaminwater Contest Has $5000 Up for Grabs

Back in September we told you about the vitaminwater contest where you, the water slugging consumer, could vote for the next flavor vitaminwater would be bringing to market.

In an amazing display of voting diversity, the urban street vote exactly matched the yuppie hipster count to produce the newest vitaminwater flavor which will be available in stores next year: black-cherry lime.

Does it get any better than that? Black-cherry for when you’re hanging around the playground playing pick-up hoops with the guys and lime for when you’re mingling at a social function with your Appletini sipping friends from the social register.

But wait … the contest isn’t over.

Even better, for the next part of the contest you don’t just get bragging rights for handicapping the flavored-water sweepstakes — you’ve got the chance to pick up five grand for designing the bottle and writing the copy that describes the flavor and function of vitaminwater’s new flavor.

The new black-cherry lime flavor features a multi-vitamin (duh!) and mineral blend which includes Vitamin A and Zinc. The newest water also features a dose of caffeine so you can lay awake wondering how your entry could’ve been better if you don’t win.

In case you’re like me, a wise-ass wordsmith devoid of any artistic talent, you can enlist up to three friends to help with the label design.

Conversely, if you’re an intensely creative but anti-social artist, you can take care of the design and get three emo housemates or a random acquaintance with people skills to help with the copy.

So, grab an existing vitaminwater flavor for inspiration and get cracking on the design and copy for the new black-cherry lime prototype.
