Pepsi-Cola’s (NYSE: PEP) Sierra Mist brand is re-introducing its holiday flavor for the second year in a row. Sierra Mist Cranberry Splash and Sierra Mist Free Cranberry Splash will be available for a limited time during the 2007 holiday season in 20-ounce and 2-liter bottles as well as 12-packs and 12-ounce cans.
Rather than just re-designing the packaging for its existing products like its primary competitor, Coca-Cola (NYSE: KO), Pepsi goes a step further by extending its product line with a special holiday flavor. In fact, the packaging for Sierra Mist Cranberry Splash and Sierra Mist Free Cranberry Splash doesn’t even have a holiday theme. It’s a great concept that must be working since the company is making Sierra Mist Cranberry Splash available again this year.
What do you think of the various holiday packaging and holiday brand extensions launched by consumer products companies? Are there any you particularly like or dislike?
I really like Cranberry Sierra Mist. I really wish that you could make this drink year around.
Why did you make a good product and then take it away. and were is the grapefruit one? This is something you do. You get people to try new and good products and then gone!!
i love cranberry sierra mist, and i wish it was in stores all year long, i get disappointed when it goes out of season
Loved Cranberry Splash last year, hate it this year!! What happened……it’s changed, something new about it. Not sure what it is, but I wish they would have left it alone! It was awesome just the way it was! It says says all natural or something….it tastes awful…change it back!!!
Why don’t you keep making Sierra mist cranberry all year long I do not like the plain Sierra mist and I don’t like cranberry juice but I love sierra mist cranberry please think about making it year round

I love the diet version of this soft drink. I have looked everywhere for it. I did not know that this was a seasonal drink. That’s ashame

I tried diet sierra mist cranberry splash for the first time this past holiday season and loved it!!! I went to several stores and bought all they had when I realized it was available temporarily! I have just finished my last one-wish they were in stock all year!

I just had Sierra Mist Cranberry Splash at a party this past weekend, 1/30/10 and loved it. I hope I can go out and find some even though it’s beyond the holiday. I’m not supposed to have caffeine and it was a great alternative to having the same ol’ clear sodas.
please please bring back the sierra mist cranberry, that is the only soda i drink
I think they should carry the cranberry year round. It is the best.
Why is the Sierra Mist cranberry splash only sold during the holidays. It’s wonderful drink and I think it should be sold just like the regular Pepsi and Sierra Mist soda’s. Everytime I find something I really like they seem to take it off the market, why is that? It’s bad enough that all the stores don’t carry it.

I love this soda but the fact of the matter is that if it was a year round soda it wouldn’t have the same special affect . Look at It as an extra special thing for an extra special time of year. Great thing to look forward to
My entire family really love Sierra Mist Cranberry Splash. I found a store that sold the can sodas until the beginning of the summer and I didn’t realize that it was a seasonal beverage. If I had known that I would have stocked up on the can sodas. Sierra Mist Cranberry Splash is so good and refreshing. There is nothing else like it. I hope that you will be able to sell it all year round.
I just looked in my wife’s refrigerator to see what she has in the way of soda. I see this Sierra Mist cranberry in there. I saw she had half a two liter bottle left so I decided she wouldn’t mind if I had a glassful.
Oh wow, I like this stuff a lot! :) I mean, it’s great!
Now, my wife is at work, at a store, where she bought this soda. :))
I’ll just have to call her and have her bring me home a couple of big bottles for myself! :)))
