With the travel and tourism market tightening up, many areas are having to throw more money into their marketing campaigns with hopes of a big payoff.

According to Sedona.biz, the Sedona Chamber of Commerce is doing just that. Growing up in Phoenix, Sedona was always one of my favorite places to visit. Known for its spirituality and serenity, Sedona, Arizona is also a hot spot for hiking, horseback riding, golfing, ballooning and a multitude of other activities.
The Chamber has launched a multi-dimensional ad campaign that includes outdoor advertising in billboards, custom-newspaper wrap, direct mailing to AMEX card holders, and a newly updated website at VisitSedona.com.
The website includes information on restaurants, hotels, spas and other services. It also has links to book a room and find package deals. Additionally there is an event calendar to let you know what’s happening in the area.
Though the economy is not at its best, people will still travel. So tourism businesses will need to continue to spend in order to compete. If you are vacationing in Arizona, check out VisitSedona.com for lots of great information.

From Camp Verde toward the casino, you pass Beto’s and than before the casino there is a turn off to Montezuma’s Castle. You can slo come from I 17. It is an ancient Indian pueblo (village) nestled in a semi cave higher up in a rock formation, only to be reached with ladders (not aloud any longer). The early settlers believed that they had found King Montezuma’s castle! There is also a museum with interesting information and items, and show rooms about the Indians. You can have a nice picnic under the huge old trees by the creek, and may be squirrels will entertain you and your kids.
You may ask the Chamber of Commerce how to get to Montezuma’s Well. It is a ways from the Castle. You will climb a hill and suddenly see a big hole with fresh water! It is a sunken area, with ancient pueblo ruins in caves, and a lake, from which the water runs out through the mountains. When walking down and around, you see it coming out of the rock wall! The Indians have watered their fields with this source of water!
Outside of Sedona is Lake Montezuma town. It has a little body of water, which once served cattle, before the golf course was made. There are wild geese and ducks, which you may have fun feeding some organic grains, bulk from New Frontiers in Sedona, or Mount Hope in Cottonwood. These birds are always hungry. You may not want to get too close, they are wild and protective from experience with humans.
