Nissan Unveils LEAF – Zero-Emission Car

On Saturday, Nissan the first competitively priced, zero-emission car in the world. The Nissan LEAF can seat five adults and is classified as a medium hatchback.

The Nissan Leaf will be officially launched in about one year in the United States, Japan and Europe. With range of in excess of 100 miles, this no-emission car has the industry buzzing.

Carlos Ghosn, the CEO and President of Nissan, couldn’t hide his excitement when talking about the unveiling of the Nissan LEAF.

“Nissan LEAF is a tremendous accomplishment – one in which all Nissan employees can take great pride. We have been working tirelessly to make this day a reality – the unveiling of a real-world car that has zero – not simply reduced – emissions. It’s the first step in what is sure to be an exciting journey – for people all over the world, for Nissan and for the industry.”

According to Nissan, the Nissan LEAF will can be charged overnight using a 200V outlet. For those people who don’t drive a whole lot of miles per day and want to save on gas while protecting the environment, this vehicle may be the answer.
