Kelly over at TaxGirl just tagged me for a meme about seven things you may not know about me.
And since I am new here, I thought it would be interesting for you to get to know your ‘illustrious’ blogger a bit better.
So here goes:
- I began my career as a TV anchor and reporter in my hometown of Utica, NY.
- Today, I own three businesses: Cherry Communications, Be Heard Solutions and Penny Pinching Publicity. All help businesses get media attention.
- My first ‘professional’ interview: Joe DiMaggio, with my grandfather, who was a sportscaster.
- I am a mezzo soprano who has sung with BB King and for Christopher Reeve.
- I am a mom of twin girls, who are 21 months old. They are (as well as my husband) British citizens.
- Our house is in the capital of New York State. (And no, that’s not New York City.)
- We get our milk delivered -glass bottles and all.
And now I am tagging some more people to get in the fun:

So here are my answers and if you’ve already read them sorry [...]

Hi Shannon,
I enjoyed learning more about you. I’m a native New Yorker, too. Grew up in a little town east of Poughkeepsie. I’m trying to think who your grandfather might have been…was there a sportscaster named Don Cherry…or do I recall that name from somewhere else? My brother was a great Yankee fan in the Joe DiMaggio era.
