Hey, kids. Was just sitting here thinking about Thanksgiving…which got me thinking about Christmas…which then got me thinking about the New Year (It’s been a very ADD kinda day…don’t ask).
Anyway, I was mulling over some new year resolutions, and figured I’d go ahead and throw some out there for B&B. But first, I need your help.
INSANE CHALLENGES for 2009
I’m aware that there is no growing if you’re just maintaining the status quo. So I’m going to set some really big expectations for B&B in 2009…in readership, in participation, and in other areas, as well.
And I’d like to ask you for help in setting up some huge challenges (in this case, the Borrowed Brilliance series). I’ll make it worth your while.
The Prize: Free Hosting for a Year!
How does a year’s worth of free hosting from one of our sponsors, aplus.net, grab ya?
I’ve talked to Seth Godin. I’m in the process of interviewing Hugh MacLeod. I’ve gotten a “hell yeah” from Robert Scoble. And a “definite maybe” from Tom Peters, who’s on the road more than St. Nick himself. To be honest these guys were much more accessible than I expected.
I appreciate their willingness to take time out to speak with us. But now I’m looking to land at least one impossible interview by the end of March. Someone I have no right to even think about approaching.
So, who should it be?
Simply toss your ideas into the comments below. Who would you love to hear from, but don’t think I have a chance at landing an interview with? We’ll choose the winner randomly from everyone who comments on December 15th (that’s a Monday).
Not only that, but if I end up getting your suggested victim to agree to an interview, I’ll throw in a little something extra for the first person to submit that name as well.
Well, who’s it going to be? (Free hosting – Leave your comment now.)

-p.s. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

How about Mark Cuban?
I think it would be fun to interview Sarah Palin and ask all the questions without puttin’ a “g” on the end of any of your gerunds….y’know just talkin’ in like a real folksy kinda style… :)
I would like to see you interview Barak Obama’s campaign manager. They certainly figured out how to work the blogosphere. He was EVERYWHERE during the final weeks of the campaign.
Alternatively, I’d like to see you interview Sarah Palin. Just for fun.

Hmm, it might be difficult to form questions using language fit for a family-friendly blog when interviewing Paulson.
But Danny is probably more up to doing that than I:)
I’ll nominate Treasury Sec’y Henry Paulson or former Federal Reserve head Alan Greenspan.
Extra points if you can get either of these clowns to wear a big red nose for the interview.
General Eric K. Shinseki, the general forced to retire for speaking against Iraq and the new head of the VA.
Nice! So, has anyone gotten their hands on AH’s new book on blogging yet?
Matt Drudge or Arianna Huffington.

Хорошая статья. Спасибо!
Lots of folks I can think of. But, maybe, Stephen Fry – for his use of Twitter? Or Jamie Oliver? Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd?
Mao – That would definitely be a challenge. His own band can’t get him to talk to them half the time. ;)
Rachel – I like it!
Steve Jobs!
Axl Rose
Axl Rose.
Nice start.
Darcie – hehe. I have a feeling Jeremy Wright wouldn’t be that hard to convince to give us a few minutes. Still…he’d probably have a few good nuggets to share.
Lee – I like it! Although…I imagine if we were to name something after him, it would make it easier to get his participation. Hmmm…
Jeanne – Obama would be HUGE. And would really fit well with what we’re talking about here. That’s just the sort of insurmountable challenge I’m talking about. Jon Stewart
Mary Jo – True. And she might be a little more accessible than her husband ;)
Michelle Obama. A leader in her own right, and user of online tools in ways we previously didn’t think about.
What about Jon Stewart? Barack Obama? We’re talking big, right?
Regardless, good luck with this :) It’s a cool contest idea!
Stephen Colbert
What about Jeremy Wright. He’s some guy who owns a blog company. I happen to know him reasonably well.
