The Miami Heat are the favorites to win the NBA championship. However, their chances took a hit when Chris Bosh got injured in Game 1 of the Heat’s series against the Indiana Pacers. Although the Heat were able to win the game, they have lost Bosh to an abdominal strain.
While the team hasn’t given a specific timetable yet, they are saying that Bosh is out indefinitely. If you read between the lines, it sounds like Bosh will miss the rest… More »

For only the 16th time in baseball history, a player has hit four home runs in one game. That player was Josh Hamilton of the Texas Rangers, who did it Tuesday night against the Baltimore Orioles. All four of Hamilton’s homers were two-run shots.
Said Hamilton after the game: “Obviously it’s, other than being in the World Series, the highlight of my big-league career.”
Hamilton’s home runs came in the first inning, third inning, seventh inning and eighth inning. He also added… More »

The Los Angeles Clippers have just completed one of the most amazing comebacks you will ever see in the NBA playoffs. Down by as many as 27 points against the Memphis Grizzlies, the Clippers came all the way back to win the game. With the win, the Clippers take a 1-0 series lead over the Grizzlies in the best of seven series.
After the Grizzlies went up by 24 points with 9:12 remaining, the Clippers went on an amazing 28-3 run… More »
The defending NBA champion Dallas Mavericks were able to beat the Oklahoma City Thunder last year in the playoffs. It looked like the Mavs were going to beat the Thunder in Game 1 on Saturday night. However, that was until Kevin Durant hit a shot to once again prove he’s one of the best players in the NBA.
With less than two seconds remaining, Kevin Durant hit a game-winning jumper to beat the Mavs and lead the Thunder to a 99-98… More »
In the offseason, the Los Angeles Angels made the splash of all splashes by signing Albert Pujols to a deal worth $240 million. Pujols, regarded by many as the best hitter in all of baseball, was supposed to come to the Angels and make Los Angeles elite once again. So far, that hasn’t happened. Not even close.
Through 21 games and 84 at-bats, Pujols is hitting only .227 with no homers and four RBIs. In his last eight games, the native… More »
Earlier, we discussed the Derrick Rose torn ACL injury. Now we have the video. As you can see in the video, Derrick Rose’s knee injury happened with less than 1:30 remaining in the game with the Chicago Bulls up by 12 points.
While I feel horrible for Derrick Rose, I can’t say I’m overly surprised. Tom Thibodeau, the head coach of the Bulls, has been playing his guys a lot of minutes this year. And he’s been very demanding. Add that… More »
Earlier in the day, Derrick Rose suffered a torn ACL. Iman Shumpert, a rookie guard for the New York Knicks, unfortunately followed in Rose’s footsteps later on Saturday. Shumpert tore his ACL in Game 1 between the Knicks and the Miami Heat.
The Knicks, who will be without Shumpert for the rest of the playoffs and maybe even the start of next season, had insult added to injury when they got blown out by the Heat, 100-67. New York fell behind… More »
Derrick Rose and the Chicago Bulls had homecourt advantage throughout the 2012 NBA Playoffs. They appeared to have a good chance of winning a championship. However, all those hopes and dreams came crashing down to earth on Saturday when Derrick Rose suffered a torn ACL.

This is a fascinating matchup between the defending champion Dallas Mavericks and the Oklahoma City Thunder, a team many believe will end up winning this year’s championship. What will win out? Will it be veteran experience or that youthful talent?
While I think the Mavs will play better in the postseason than they did in the regular season, the Thunder just have too much talent. The Mavs have Dirk Nowitzki – and that’s about it. The Thunder, on the other hand,… More »
One of the most interesting matchups in the first round of the 2012 NBA Playoffs is the series between the Indiana Pacers and the Orlando Magic. The Pacers got the third seed in the East but they are so unproven that no team really fears them. The Magic, on the other hand, have NBA Finals experience but they are without Dwight Howard due to injury.
Though I’m tempted to go with the Magic’s veteran savvy, I think the Pacers will be… More »
While I know a lot of NBA experts are expecting the New York Knicks to give the Miami Heat a run for their money in the first round, I just don’t see it. The Heat are just too good. LeBron James is the best player in the league and Dwyane Wade always shows up in the playoffs. The Knicks, meanwhile, are a gimmick team that depends on one-on-one play.
I do think a couple of the games are going to be… More »
