You can has TextMate with GEdit

An intentional reference to LOLCats. ;)

Anyhow, I came across a guide on making GEdit like TextMate. Some interns from last summer were drooling over the TextMate sample videos. They wanted something like that on their computers but some of them were using Linux. Apparently these interns don’t have to worry anymore. :D Check out the tips on “Textmate-like GEdit in few steps”.

You just need to download some plugins and some files from bitsbam and you’re on your way to having your TextMate-like GEdit!
