Yelp App for iPhone

I travel a lot, and I’ve tried out a lot of Apps that promise to help me navigate new cities. But Yelp is my number one favorite App for finding the things that I might actually want to do in a new place.

Yelp is a combination city guide and review site. It hones in on your location and let’s you search for the kinds of businesses you’re looking for. So, what’s so new about that? Not much, but the thing is that the Yelp demographic is pretty engaged. They’re also pretty young and hip and I trust their reviews for me. You can look at what a lot of people say before you venture out in the cold night to that super cool dive bar, or find out in advance who gives the rockinest haircuts in Savannah, Georgia. Go Yelp!
