Vista: This sucker is just not ready!

Once again, the subject is: Vista delays! Last week we had Microsoft’s annual investors meeting, now we have ex-MS blogger Scoble who writes: This sucker is just not ready!

Too many things are too slow and/or don’t work. I’ve been on the betas of every Windows OS since Windows 3.1 and Vista is starting to feel good, but it doesn’t feel good enough to release to the factory in October. It feels like it needs a good six more months than that, which would mean a mid-year release next year.

Scoble also writes about the fact that no one will remember whether Vista is dealyed another few months. And he’s right. It just has to be a good product when it comes out. If it ain’t… everyone will remember it!

If you haven’t bought it yet, please don’t waist your money. I’ve never been one to campaign against Microsoft but this OS is a piece of junk. All of the Vista hype this thing is no worse than XP. It’s slower than XP and one of the Issues that I’m having right now is when I bring my computer back from sleep or hibernate mode it won’t detect my wireless network. I have to go through the trouble of Rebooting my system in order for it to pick up my network. Trust me don’t buy this Garbage!

Just got a copy of VISTA, I am a Mac user as well. Microsoft should be ashamed of themselves. What a piece of garbage. Worst OS I have ever used. Plus, could they be anymore upfront about simply copying Apple? They really need to fire everyone adn start off new with folks that have an original thought.

[...] Since getting Ubuntu installed, I haven’t had a reason to boot back into Windows other than to make sure it was still working okay. Ubuntu really is a solid package. Given the terrible reviews of Windows Vista as well as all of the DRM built into it, I think I’m pretty much sold on not purchasing a Microsoft OS again. [...]

Will the Windows Vista interface support other versions of English (or even just Global English)? Or will American English (“US English”/”MS English”) continue to be imposed on the world by Microsoft?

Most other (non-Microsoft) operating systems / desktop environments have supported localisation (=”localiZation”) in this way for years.

I don’t think they should delay it anymore. I have just talked about this here.

Sorry for the link but it’s kinda lenghty
