“Tap Tap Revenge” Is a Hot Game App

The Tap Tap Revenge game app is so popular that the sales for the title have approached $1 million a month.  That’s insane.  Created by Tabulous with just 20 employees, the music game is kind of like Guitar Hero and Dance, Dance Revolution in the sense that you really need some strong rhythmic skills to do well. icon_ttr

After downloading the app players will be prompted to tap or shake left and right to the beat of the music.  There’s a cool head-to-head two-player mode so you can waste time while you wait for a movie to start at the theater instead of having to actually talk to the person you are with (I’m kidding, of course… maybe?).

The app comes with more than 40 free songs and on Thursdays a new, free hot track is added and, in the past, these songs included those by Katy Perry, Everlast, Lady Antebellum and more (full list here).

As if that wasn’t cool enough, you can enter a contest every weekend and the prizes are pretty cool and have included anything from iTunes gift certificates, backstage passes or meet and greets with your favorite rock star.  How cool is that?

Tap Tap Revenge has been installed more than 20 million times which equates to it being used by one-third of Apple app users.

Have you downloaded Tap Tap Revenge yet?  Unsure about whether you will like it?  Check out this video of the game:
