“Sudoku Ball Detective” For Wii and DS

It seems like everywhere you look, there some new way to play Sudoku and I’ve got to admit that, while I enjoy puzzle games, I never quite got into it.  My daughter is obsessed with it and her birthday is tomorrow so maybe I’ll pick up a copy of Sudoku Ball Detective which was released earlier this month for the Nintendo sudoku_ball_wiiWii and the Nintendo DS.

In the game, players will take on the role of a detective who is investigating a murder in his small town.  To unlock clues you’ve got to… solve Sudoku Ball puzzles.  Yeah, I’m sure you didn’t see that one coming.

Completing the puzzles will also help you pick locks (isn’t that illegal?), investigate evidence in the lab and chase down your suspect.

From what I’ve read, there are 20 levels to this game so it shouldn’t be one of those things that’s good for two hours and then you’re done, especially since it has three difficulty settings and it will probably take more than a couple minutes to solve the Sudoku puzzles.

You will also be able to play the game in several ways – stand-alone Sudoku Ball, story puzzles and the original Sudoku mode with over 240 Sudokus in total.
