I am seriously in love with this app. Maybe taking panoramic pictures doesn’t really seem like a big deal, but the results are amazing. Pano lets you merge up to sixteen photographs to make one long one. This is handy if you are someplace lovely, like this:

But it even makes ordinary places like downtown Baton Rouge look good.

It’s a little hard to see the impressiveness of the imagery when the pictures are so small, I know. Such are the limits of our blog width, I’m afraid. You’ll just have to check out the Pano website to see some pictures in all their glory.
The best thing about Pano is that it’s totally easy to use. You take one shot, and then it makes the right edge of that shot transparent so that you can line up your next shot. Easy, breezy, my friends.
The worst thing about Pano is that it’s really hard to take photos of people with, since all this lining up takes time and people don’t have much patience for sitting still. On the plus side of that equation, it can make for some interesting, arty pics. Also, Pano is not free. It’s $2.99. I think it’s worth it, but not for anyone who’s just going to get impatient with its drawbacks.
Check out Pano in the App Store.
