Nokia N77 comes with Mobile TV

n77-nokia.jpg

Perhaps the main feature of the Nokia N77 is the built in DVB-H for mobile television viewing. If my findings are right, running DVB-H straight will finish off your battery life in a matter of 6 to hours doing nothing else. The N77 is perhaps the “poor man’s” version of the higher end mobile TV phones such as the Nokia N92.

Other features:

* Active matrix 2.4″ QVGA color display with wide viewing angle: 320 x 240 pixels, up to 16 million colors
* Active standby with main services always on top
* Active toolbar interface in camera and gallery
* Ambient light detector – used to optimize display brightness and power consumption
* Five -way navikey, two soft keys, application key, clear key, send and end keys, operator service keys, ITU-T keypad
* Dedicated key for mobile tv
* Dedicated key for camera
* Multimedia key provides direct access to predefined applications
* Volume/zoom key
* Operating system: S60 software on Symbian OS
* User Interface: S60 3rd Edition

    It maybe the “poor man’s” N92 but it’s also a lot easier on the pocket (weight-wise) than the N92, and it looks a lot better aesthetically :) one of the few points to rationalize why the N77 is better than the N92 :)
