MSN Sees a Slight Increase in Traffic

According to OneStat.com, MSN has seen a slight increase in it’s global use over the last 8 months.

MSN Search’s global usage share has risen from 8.6 percent to 8.9 percent. Google’s global usage share has decreased 0.3 percent the last 8 months. Yahoo’s global usage share remains stable. The second largest search engine on the web has a global usage share of 21.2 percent.

1. Google 56.9%
2. Yahoo 21.2%
3. MSN Search 8.9%
4. AOL Search 3.2%

MSN, for those who don’t remember, have re-launched their new search engine at the beginning of the year. They have been trying to keep up with the competition since then. I doubt that this 0.3% change is what you expected when launching their new engine. Either way, you can wait a little before targeting MSN in your optimization efforts.
