Enter the Kingston U3 smart drive. Co-developed by SanDisk and M-Systems, the open-standard U3 platform allows users to take their applications, not just data, with them to any USB-equipped Windows PC. Kingston dropped me one of their units awhile back and I think its great.
Several dozen companies had either released or announced U3 versions of their software, including America Online, ArcSoft, Cerulean Studios (maker of the Trillian universal instant messaging client), McAfee, Nullsoft (developer of the WinAmp audio software), and Skype. In addition to M-Systems and SanDisk, about a half dozen vendors, including Kingston Technology, Memorex, and Verbatim, have announced new U3 drives too.
Kingston’s U3TM DataTraveler® smart drive offers more than just portable storage – it conveniently carries data and U3 software programs that you can download from U3.com. Choose from a growing list of U3-compatible software categories including: communication, productivity, file synchronization, games, photo, security, and many more.

what is the best thing to use u3 in our pendrive?
Hi,
I am new to the world of portable applications on USBs.So I need a little guidance.I am exploring of developing a portable application on a thumbdrive, which can be connected to a computer and can transfer data to a server database. It would be a standalone application probably developed in java.
Now, I have been going through a lot of articles on the internet. They talk about thumb drive, U3, Ceedo. What would be the best option?can you tell me the pros and cons of all these options available and what would be the best for my kind of application
