iPod touch can now make calls like a mobile phone

TruPhone

This is it! Finally, someone has made an application that can turn the iPod touch into a decent calling device. Sort of like Skype, Truphone works similarly allowing you to attach a microphone to the device and do the following:

* Making and receiving calls to and from landlines (PSTN) at low cost (simply set yourself up with a Truphone account)
* Instant messaging to Skype and MSN (free)
* Calling to Skype users (free)
* Calling to MSN users (free)
* Check and set facilities for Twitter (free)
* Check and set facilities for Facebook (free)

Even without the landline call feature, you can still use Truphone to make calls through Skype and MSN. The service also acts as an IM, and a conduit for Twitter and Facebook updates. The app is completely free. All you need to do is purchase their mic, which will be available soon. Download Truphone now!
