iPhone: Bluetooth kills WiFi

apple-iphone-gallery-photos

Apparently there’s a reason why your iPhone’s WiFi connection may be lagging out.

It seems that both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi share the same antenna, so when Bluetooth was made active in the 3.0 software, conflicts arose.

On the Toy Kite Software site, Doug was a bit more specific. The iPhone 3.0 software brought with it a service discovery process that switches between looking for another device on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth using the single antenna.[source]

I don’t know guys. As the iPhone gets all these upgrades it seems that we’re encountering problems that mobile phone manufacturers would consider mortal sins of the modern day. Does Samsung encounter these problems? What about Nokia? And yet the community sticks by when something like this happens. They don’t switch. They wait.

Yeah thank god Apple has that community.
