Hot Deals on Hot New Gadgets

Microsoft’s sleek new Zune HD finally arrives tomorrow, and if you order through Dell, you can get yours for 15% off the retail price. Just apply this coupon to get yours on the cheap. The Zune HD is the next generation version of Microsoft’s portable media player for listening to music or watching video, and features a long-lasting battery thanks to the OLED touchscreen, built-in WiFi, an Internet browser, and a built-in HD Radio receiver.

And though nothing has been formally announced, it’s rumored that the Zune HD will also have its own library of downloadable games available, a la the iPod Touch and iPhone. It retails (before the aforementioned coupons) for $289 for the 32GB version, and $219 for the 16GB version.

Okay, so this isn’t a “new gadget,” but it’s still one that’s on a lot of geeks’ wishlists. Apple has dropped the price on the 160GB AppleTV to $229 (while the smaller 40GB version has been discontinued). The AppleTV is seen as a companion device for iTunes, allowing you to quickly and easily buy or rent videos from the iTunes Store directly to your television.
