Haze: Pushed Back

haze-copy.jpgUbisoft, you’re killin’ me!

There were two games that I heard about a couple of years ago that really spurred me to get a PS3: Assassin’s Creed and Haze.

Assassin’s Creed is kicking ass and taking names with its “second fastest-selling new IP on an individual format since 2002″ status in the UK and it’s #2 in PS3 rentals and #1 in XBox 360 rentals at the time of this writing at GameFly.com.

That’s impressive shit!

Especially after some really mixed reviews. I love the game and would review it, but I’m a horrendously slow player and I have a one year old hellion of a daughter to chase.

But, having said all of that, I was still looking forward to buying Haze. I mean, come on! If I wrote about it on my “mommy blogger” site, you know I was looking forward to it.

The story line is hot, the screen shots are sharp and I really thought that it could help catapult the PS3′s sales.

Now, Ubisoft is announcing that they’re pushing back Haze. Not just by a couple of weeks either. I’m talking like fourth fiscal quarter of ’08. That’s a long time from now.

Not to mention [but I'm going to mention it anyway] the fact that they’re pushing back Splinter Cell: Conviction.

What the hell, Ubisoft?

Throw a girl a bone, would ya?

No ‘07 Little Big Planet Demo

[...] know it sucks, but game delays aren’t a new thing and the game is slated for full release in ‘08 [...]

Assassin’s Creed rocks. Plain and simple.

Do me a favor though, get a PS3. Even if it doesn’t have a strong exclusive game base just yet, it’s the cheapest Blu-ray player you can get. :)

Is AC that good? I’ve added it to my wish list (I’ll finally catch up and get 360 for Xmas) along with Halo 3 – the holidays bring out the killer in me.
