Google’s efforts towards world domination took another step forward today. According to the rumors, Google introduced their new cell phone to several manufacturers. The phone, due out within a year, is intended to be released on a “free subscription basis” while bundling advertisements with its search engine, e-mail, and Web browser software applications.
“We’re partnering with carriers, manufacturers, and content providers around the world to bring Google search and Google applications to mobile users everywhere,” Google spokesman Michael Kirkland said.
“What our users and partners are telling us is that they want Google search and Google applications on mobile, and we are working hard every day to deliver that,” Kirkland said.
It will be interesting to see what happens to the company as it continues venturing into the different markets. I can see it being split into several niche companies as privacy issues are getting more and more questionable.
