Hewlett-Packard has a free driver downloads site that you can download drivers from for anything that HP has out on the market today…from printers to desktop systems to notebooks – you name it, they’ve probably got it. Have your product name and or number handy to make your search quicker and more efficient.
Dell has something similar with their stark Driver Downloads page; again, have your product number ready for faster searching.
Last but not least I took a look at Apple Mac OS X driver downloads; most of these look to be freeware or shareware.

yes, but if I go to HP or Dell,
a. sometimes I have no idea if what THEY have there is what I need – let’s say they are offering “version 12.34″, I have no idea if I have 12.34, 11.99 or 10.77 ..
b. very often, as a newbie user, I have no idea what my VGA card vendor is, and efinately who is the vendor behind my chip and sub-chip
c. HP/Dell only publish original settings, but since I bought my computer I upgraded some components (inside and outside)
Therefore, such vendor website can be pretty annoying experience. I would recommend RadarSync (www.radarsync.com), as it does all the job for me. But – it’s your choice..
