Apple Finally Address the Blue Screen of Death for iTunes 8

I have already made two posts (here, here) on the problem of iTunes on Windows Vista and at last, Apple has finally posted a support documentation on the blue screen of death for iTunes 8. Their support post found here has this information.

Resolution
Solution 1
1. Disconnect your iPhone or iPod from Windows Vista.
2. Uninstall iTunes and Apple Mobile Device Support

For Classic View
a. Choose Start > Control Panel > Programs and Features.
b. First select Apple Mobile Device Support, click Uninstall.
c. Select iTunes, click Uninstall.

For Control Panel Home View
a. Choose Start > Control Panel > Programs > Uninstall a Program.
b. First select Apple Mobile Device Support, click Uninstall.
c. Select iTunes and click Uninstall.

3. Restart the computer.

4. Re-download and install the updated iTunes 8 installer from www.apple.com/itunes/download.

Important: Do not use the iTunes8Setup or iTunes864Setup file you previously downloaded.

Aside from that post from Apple, they have another one here.
