As we reported earlier today, a new Amazon tablet is set to be unveiled on Wednesday. We now have more information — including a complete name. The new Amazon tablet will be known as the Kindle Fire and will be available around the middle of November.
The best comparison for the Amazon Kindle Fire is the BlackBerry Playbook. In fact, both tablets will be made at the same factory.
How much will the Kindle Fire cost? The amount being discussed the most by those in know is $250. However, others believe it will be more expensive.
One aspect that would be a good hook for Amazon would be including Amazon Prime for free with the purchase of an Amazon Kindle Fire. Amazon Prime usually costs $79 and includes streaming content and free second-day shipping on products purchased at Amazon.com.
