Eye witnesses claim (according to E! Online) that Efron “was filming a scene and talking on his cell phone" and that "none of the other Entourage cast” was in the store.  Apparently, “he was really nice."

HBO also confirmed some of the other guests who will be making cameos including Lil Wayne, Tom Brady, LeBron James and Aaron Sorkin.

Are you looking forward to this new season?  I can barely wait.  I think True Blood also returns (for its second season) that night so I plan to be on my couch with some snacks.

I wonder what Eric and Vince’s relationship will be like now that they seem to have made up after Vince fired him and acted like a complete jerk.  From what I have heard, this is going to be a bigger year for E’s role since he might actually end up with two love interests – Alexis Dziena has been cast as potential girlfriend, Ashley, while Kate Mara will be playing E’s new assistant.  Of course, I also want to know what is going on with Turtle and Jamie Lynn Siegler!

Zac Efron plays Mike O’Donnell, a young man in the Class of 1989 who seems to have it all – he’s the star of his high school’s basketball team and he’s being courted by a college scout.  His plans for the future change, however, when he finds out this his girlfriend, Scarlet (Allison Miller), is pregnant.

Nearly two decades later, things are not going well for Mike and Scarlet.  Their marriage is falling apart, he was overlooked for a promotion at work, his children don’t like him and he ends up staying with his “high school nerd-turned-techno-billionaire best friend Ned (Thomas Lennon).”

In the tradition of Freaky Friday and Big, Mike gets a chance to relive his 17th year when he is miraculously turned into a high schooler again.  As he gets swept up in trying to recapture his youth in 2009, he risks losing all of the best things that have ever happened to him.

It could be a great Friday night date movie. Check out the trailer!

Anyway, he was actually pretty funny on the show.  There were a couple skits that stood out, however.  One included Efron, Andy Samberg and Fred Armisen.  In the skit, they were making a commercial where Efron and Samberg were hungry teens and Armisen played Efron’s mother.  The commercial went horribly wrong when the mother misinterprets how to deliver her lines and Efron ends up smacked in the face a number of times.  It was pretty funny.

In another skit, he played a German exchange student who is horrified by a fellow Science Fair participant (played by Kristen Wiig).  One moment in the segment actually made the audience gasp.  Watch the clip here (to see more videos, visit the NBC website).

The 21-year-old actor, who will next be appearing in 17 Again, explained that he grew up in a strict household and found other ways to channel his energy: “I could never get into trouble like the rest of my friends. My parents were very strict and taught me good values, whenever I did anything wrong my mom would somehow know it.   I started skateboarding as a kid – it’s like surfing on the sidewalk. I love it. It’s a Zen thing, so much better than walking. It’s almost spiritual.”

17 Again hits theaters on April 17, 2009.
