Answer Questions
Every business has frequently asked questions. Answer your FAQ on a video and post it on YouTube.

Free Commercial
Facebook, despite some complaints this year, continues to grow and grow and grow.

Number two behind Facebook remains Google.com. When you want to find something, Google.com remains the top destination.

Number three is YouTube.com — which is also owned by Google. Three of the next four spots belong to Yahoo, while the other one is Bing.com. With Bing.com that high, Microsoft has to be happy.

MySpace.com, which was number seven in 2010, fell out of the top ten. That, unless you’ve been living under a rock, should come as no surprise.

Though, it wasn’t without controversy. Before YouTube pulled it, the video had more than three million dislikes. Rebecca Black, the 14-year-old responsible for “Friday”, got death threats and was called every bad name in the book.

But, Rebecca, we thank you. You gave us the most popular YouTube video of 2011.

I’m a fan of Brittney Griner. I think she has the potential to single-handedly change the game of women’s basketball. But I’m not a fan of what she did last night.

During the second half of the game between Baylor and Texas Tech, Griner was fouled underneath the basket by Jordan Barncastle. It was a clean foul, as Barncastle was simply trying everything she could to keep Griner from getting position in the lane.

Yes, there was some “chippy-ness” involved, but that is what is expected when you play hard in the lane.

Griner, who is normally unusually composed when defenses swarm and harass her, came unglued. Something about Barncastle’s foul hit a nerve in the talented freshman. After the whistle was blown, Griner lunged at Barncastle, who was already walking away from the play, and swung a roundhouse right at her face. The punch knocked her backwards, and everyone stood back in awe.

Did that really just happen? Did the most talented freshman in all of women’s basketball just punch another player in the face?

Griner was understandably ejected from the game with 9:01 left to play, leaving Baylor coach Kim Mulkey incredibly stunned.

“It was ugly for women’s basketball,” she told ESPN. “It was ugly that coaches were on the court, that benches cleared, and I will take care of that with my team.”

There is no doubt in my mind that Mulkey will get to the bottom of Griner’s motives for taking a swing at another player. It was so uncharacteristic, so shocking that I’m positive there is something bubbling beneath the surface of Griner’s emotions. Maybe the freshman is beginning to succumb to the pressure and overwhelming responsibility of being in the spotlight after all.

Either way, she’s taken two huge steps back.

Here’s the video clip of the incident, courtesy of YouTube:

Really? Newark?

Seems like an awful practical joke, doesn’t it? According to the New York Daily News, the Nets will have enough cash and the assets to rebuild their team after this abysmal season. But even though they are scheduled to move to Brooklyn in 2012, the team will likely be calling Newark their new home over the course of next two seasons.

Inside sources report that the Nets are close to reaching a preliminary lease agreement with the New Jersey Devils to play their home games at the Prudential Center.

Perhaps Newark can offer the change of scenery the Nets need in order to turn the team around.

Rumors are circulating about upcoming roster changes for the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Utah Jazz.

I can understand why the Jazz need to shake things up. Aside from Deron Williams, the entire roster has been unproductive. Carlos Boozer, the big man in the middle, makes 12.6 million per year. He’s in the last year of his contract, so the Jazz’s front office is ready to deal him to the highest bidder. The team is off to disappointing start, ranked 9th in the Western Conference. They are in desperate need of some key players that would compliment Williams and produce some offense. We’ll see what happens …

As for the Cavs, I’m not to sure why they feel the need to make any roster changes. They are playing well, and they acquired Shaq in the off-season. LeBron James has enough talent around him to make another deep run in the playoffs. But perhaps he could use one more key player to help get him that elusive NBA Championship Title. I also believe that the front office wants to make changes in order to keep LeBron happy and optimistic so that he won’t become a free agent at the end of the season. Whatever the reason, they better move fast — the NBA contract guarantee ends on Jan. 10th.

Utah hasn’t found that same offensive spark since John Stockton and Karl Malone left. Actually, we haven’t seen another duo like them on the basketball court since. Here’s a video clip from the glory days, courtesy of YouTube:

D’Antoni maintains that “it’s not personal” but it’s obvious that things are less than “bunnies and flowers” between player and coach. ESPN.com reported that sources close to Robinson say he wants out and would prefer to resume his career with the Boston Celtics.

There are many key factors that are going to come into play in order to get a trade or a buyout worked out. In the meantime, we all know what Nate Robinson really wants for Christmas:

To play for a new NBA team.

For those of you who have forgotten how skilled Robinson is (minus the ego), here’s a reminder courtesy of YouTube:

There’s been a lot of hoopla (no pun intended) in the NBA over the past couple of weeks about LeBron James and his river-dancing feet. Some remark that he’s just having fun, while others think he’s being childish and needs to grow up. Others take it a step further, saying this is the exact reason why King James has yet to win an NBA Championship — he’s not mature enough to take it seriously.

I guess it’s time to voice my opinion on the matter.

First, I have to give props to Joakim Noah for calling James out recently for his in-game antics. Not many people stand up to him, and Noah ultimately decided that enough was enough. Ahead by 19, James continued to dance along the sidelines whenever the Cavs scored a basket. Noah basically said, “Man, that’s cold. You’re up by 19 and your dancing like it’s a joke.” (Those are my words, not his.)

While I do think that it was “cold” for James to dance and essentially rub a little alcohol in the wound of the Chicago Bulls, I also think that he was just having a little fun. Think about it. James is in the last year of his contract. He’s just making the most of his final season with the Cavs. After all, it is just a game. It is what it is. If everyone injected a little lighthearted humor into their professions day in and day out, there would be a lot more happy people in the world.

I don’t think that having some fun now and then inhibits James’ competitive side. He still wants to win. He just wants to have some fun while doing it. I should also point out that James is still relatively young. Yes, he’s been in the league for six years already but he’s only 24 years old. Kobe Bryant did a lot of “childish” things when he was younger. Honestly, I hope that James never loses his fun and goofy side. It’s part of his charm. It’s one of the reasons why I’m more of a Lebron fan than I am a Kobe fan. Kobe takes himself way too seriously.

I digress.

Do I think that James needs to grow up? Maybe just a little. But come playoff time, I think you’ll see far less dancing.

In the meantime, enjoy this clip of him dancing during a timeout (courtesy of YouTube):

My good friend Dr. Thomas Ho made me aware of a development from Google this evening that I think will be pretty interesting if executed well. And let’s be honest, most of what Google does is done fairly well.

It appears that Google will be adding some social search functionality to their toolbox. Currently in development in the Google Labs, we’re told it should be coming publicly available soon.

The idea is that when you search, there will be results offered from those in your social networks as well. So, if you’re searching for images, you can bet that your friends images on flickr will come up in the results if they fit your search terms.

Looking for something on a hot topic floating around the web? If your friends are talking about it on twitter, then those tweets will show-up in the results as well.

The hooks into your social networks will come from those networks you’ve tied to your own Google Profile. I guess the downside of that, or upside depending on your viewpoint, is that you’ll now have to setup a Google Profile for yourself as well.

All in all a pretty powerful feature to have at your finger tips if you’ve built up a strong and connected social network of friends. I truly believe that taking advantage of the networks we’ve built with each other, trusted friendships and tight integration between our various online presences will become the key to the future of search.

There is an unreal YouTube video of some guy supposedly bench pressing 585 lbs for 23 straight reps. First point of issue is the reps aren't full reps, but that is not my sticking point (pun intended) on this video. Full reps or not, I don't think this video is real even though it looks quite authentic as it appears to be shot at a convention and you can hear the plates rattling.

Why is it fake?

Full reps or not, I don’t think this video is real even though it looks quite authentic as it appears to be shot at a convention and you can hear the plates rattling.

Why is it fake?

First, some of the strongest people in the world can only get 585 one time. We’re talking beasts among men among beasts. Then you have this guy who obviously has a good amount of muscle, but is still relatively thin – especially in comparison to the weight he’s lifting. Although it looks as real as any other video, I am convinced this is a hoax. There’s just no way. My guess is he has plastic weights on the bar. I mean does anybody that weighs 210 or so bench 585 lbs 20 times, pause and then rep 2-3 more? What do you think?
