<p>The plot surrounds a group of retired costume heros where, oddly enough, Richard Nixon is still president in 1985.  Obviously, this is an alternate reality but it’s definitely no fantasyland.  One of the group, the Comedian, is murdered and his former colleague, Rorschach, begins the search for the killer.  I heard it was visually stunning but critics and audiences seemed really divided on whether it was any good.</p>

<p>There are newer songs like “Desolation Row” by My Chemical Romance but the majority of the soundtrack features songs from yesteryear including “The Sound of Silence” by Simon and Garfunkel and “All Along the Watchtower” by Jimi Hendrix.</p>
<p>Music lovers will be happy to know that, in addition to buying the CD or downloading the album, you can also <a href="http://www.amazon.com/Watchmen-Vinyl-LP-Original-Soundtrack/dp/B001PK47C6/ref=pd_bbs_sr_11?ie=UTF8&amp;s=music&amp;qid=1237392052&amp;sr=8-11">pick it up on vinyl</a> (yes, vinyl!).</p>
