Wow! I want one! Why is it taking till 2008 to get here?!? Those were the thoughts that were going through my mind as I was viewing the iPhone Ads. The phone is sick… If that’s the exact way the iPhone will be running, meaning they didn’t alter the video in the Ad to create a smoother interface, damn.. It’s really awesome.
Well at least the Ads answered the question that’s on everyones mind, “when is the iPhone coming out?”. It’s… More »
Patrick Norton and David Randolph take you through some interesting hacks for the Apple TV. I’m not a fan of reading to much, especially long how-to articles. So it’s really good when there are video versions such as what Systm is doing for Apple TV hacks. It’s easier for me to follow videos than articles.
Covered in this video are the upgrading of the Apple TV’s hard drive as well as cloning the system from the existing drive to the new… More »
NicePlayer is a great alternative to VLC. So far VLC is still king of my video players simply because I’ve been using it for a long time and have had good experiences with it. Sure it hangs from time to time, the video lags when my G4 is doing other things but as a whole it’s still pretty good.
Vic pointed out NicePlayer to me and told me to give it a try. He’s been using it and said that it’s… More »
They boys are back in town! Mac and PC are back with two new installments on their “Get A Mac” ad series. The two new ads are titled “Flashback” and “Computer Cart”.
“Flashback” shows us how Mac and PC were waaayy back. The same as they are now, only smaller. I guess it was meant to show that after all these years, the PC is still boring.
“Computer Cart” shows several PCs on a cart. As what happens in real life, PCs… More »
Apple has lowered prices for its line of displays. The 20″ ACD now has a sticker price of $599 while the 23″ and 30″ are priced $899 and $1799 respectively.
Compared to similarly spec’d monitors the ACD is still quite expensive. Then again, I haven’t seen a monitor that looks as good as the ACD both turned on and off. I mean even if it’s just sitting there on your desk doing nothing, it still looks hot. I agree it’s not… More »
Buzz has been high the last few days as Apple started shipping Apple TVs. While a lot of good has been said about the Apple TV, we also need to be objective. The people at iLounge are just that. So they wrote a piece stating 10 reasons why you shouldn’t jump on the bandwagon and buy yourself an Apple TV. Here are the reasons why.
10. You have a fifth-generation iPod with video and a $20 bill in your pocket.
9. You… More »
If you’re looking for web cam software for Mac OS X, EvoCam maybe the one for you. It allows you to stream video, view and record video, create timelapse movies and most important in my opinion, use it for home security purposes.
The current version is 3.6.1 and it’s Universal Binary. Some new features of the current version are the ability to start and stop recording based on the schedule, audio sensor, added ability for Java Servelet or Server Push… More »
This is from MacRumors. The first iPhone teaser commercial aired during the 79th Annual Oscar Awards. With Al there, the commercial wasn’t far behind.
The commercial is a series of scenes from famous Movie and TV Shows from way back till the present. All the signs depict characters saying “Hello” this is followed by a shot of the iPhone, then the words “Hello” followed by “Coming in June”. Simple, yet it gets the message across. … More »
About a few months ago my dad showed me a video on YouTube. It was a Filipina who produced her own video and put it up on YouTube for the whole world to enjoy. Since then, I’ve been hooked on what is now one of the more popular online video performers.
Christine, the girl behind HappySlip is a self confessed Mac user (That made me like her more). She’s been creating her videos on her Mac ever since she got her… More »
There are several new “Get A Mac” ads that Apple released. Among the the three the “Security” ad is in my opinion irritatingly funny. It paints a picture on how irritating life would be with Vista’s security barriers, that prompts so much user intervention. The in itself is also irritating after watching it a few times. Don’t get me wrong, I still found it good in a sense that it really delivers its message. So watch it now. … More »
Mac Beautiful
I’ve been visiting Happy Slip from time to time. It’s the web site of video creator/director/actress Christine. She was looking for an outlet for her creativity and decided that online video was a great way. She’s been creating video shorts and publishing them on this web site and You Tube. She’s gotten quite a following, especially from fellow Filipinos.
She’s just published “Mac Beautiful”, an online short dedicated to the Mac. She created new lyrics for James Blunt’s “You’re Beautiful”. Quite… More »
