You’ll get to play as either Predator, Alien or Marine for three very different playing experiences. With Predator you’ll be able to use multiple different vision modes to stalk your prey. You’ll also be able to use the cloaking function to stay hidden.

As Alien you’ll be able to crawl anywhere, and you sneaking ability to attack your victims. Playing as the Marine, you’ll have to use teamwork to survive.  You’ll be bale to use motion trackers, pulse rifles, and turrets.

You can also play Aliens vs Predator in online mode, where all three characters can battle each other.

The game is available on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 2. You know that’s gonna be awesome!

Georgia Institute of Technology and North Carolina State University have teamed up via a $1.2 million grant to research the benefits of video game playing. The initiative aims to determine whether playing video games can boost the person’s thinking skills and memory. Their first task is to identify the qualities that make a good game for the brains and build a game from scratch.

According to Dr. Anne McLaughlin, assistant professor of psychology at North Carolina State,  the fundamental brain strengthening qualities are attentional demand, novelty, and social interaction. With these things in mind, the best game suited for the job is EA’s Boom Blox games.

The Boom Blox game is a Steven Spielberg and EA game, with Steven on board, a product that exercises the brain is no surprise.

In the lawsuit, which was filed by attorney Keith McKenna, accuses EA Sports of "unjust enrichment." They say that the use of their names and images without permission in an invasion of privacy for commercial purposes.

A spokesperson for EA Sports has said that the company, NCAA, and Collegiate Licensing Company have all reviewed the case and don’t believe that their claims have merit. The company says it has not violated any NCAA bylaws or athlete rights laws.

Tiger doesn’t get much video game playing in these days, in part because he’s a busy dad, but also because his wife doesn’t dig the video game thing. Tiger says that in Sweden (where his wife Elin is from) “it just wasn’t a big thing to do.”

The Rabbids Wii game is developed by Ubisoft Montpellier, the team which brings you Beyond Good & Evil, Peter Jackson’s King Kong: The Official Game of the Movie and of course the original Rayman Raving Rabbids.

What’s interesting is that a new game engine for the Wii is in Rabbids Go Home. Does it make the Rabbids more Rabbidy? Maybid.

Why, yes. Yes they are.

To be fair, Coraline isn’t just for the PS2. It’s also being made for the DS and the Wii but the PS2?!

From the release:

The only video game based on the upcoming movie, Coraline will allow players to explore and interact with such immersive 3-D environments from the movie as the Pink Palace, its nooks and crannies and apartments, and the unpredictable Other World. Players will engage in unique mini-games and adventures with Coraline’s friends Wybie and Cat as they collect items that will unlock the mysteries of the Other World.

Maybe they decided that the game wouldn’t sell as well on the PS2?

Who knows?

One thing I do know is that I shant be doing a review on Corine since I sold my PS2 a couple of years ago to buy my PS3. You’ll have to let me know how the game is.

I do believe that the bright red WTF?!!! describes my sentiment perfectly.

I’ve been waiting for this game for a rather long time and normally I can put Borderlands out of my mind and obsess over asinine time wasters.

But today I had a weak moment and decided to check out Borderlands’s website and was saddened, no, angered to see the words: “full site coming soon”.

Are you FUCKING JOKING ME?!

I proud of them for coming out with a kick-ass trailer; that made me happy. But is it really too much to ask for a website that tides me over until 2009?!!!

I posted the trailer for the cute little thing here and I was looking forward to the demo that was promised by the end of ’07.

Unfortunately, I [and you guys too] have to wait until next year.

Ron Eagle, PR guy for Sony America, told Stephen Totilo that, “I can officially confirm that there won’t be a demo this year.”

I know it sucks, but game delays aren’t a new thing and the game is slated for full release in ’08 anyway.

Just cross your fingers that they don’t push that back as well.
