Starring Rhona Mitra as Sonja, Bill Nighy as Viktor and Michael Sheen as young Lycan, Lucian (a werewolf), the story explains the origins of the centuries-old blood feud between the Death Dealers and the Lycans.  Lucian and Sonja, who are secret lovers, join together in a battle to try to free the Lycans from their brutal enslavement.

Rise of the Lycans is set mostly within the walls of vampire lord Viktor’s castle, which I’m guessing accounts for the coloring of the film.  It almost looks like a video game, at times, from these production stills.
