New Show Highlights America’s Worst Drivers

The Travel Channel is launching a new reality competition but there is a twist – instead of searching for the best singer, survivor or dancer, they are looking for the worst driver. The new show, The Streets of America: The Search for America’s Worst Driver will feature some of the nation’s worst drivers as they compete in weekly challenges. Eventually, the “better” drivers will be eliminated until only the very worst is left standing.

If you live in Canada, you might have seen Canada’s Worst Driver. This new Travel Channel program is reportedly based on an overseas format and, judging from the description, I’d be willing to say that they’ve borrowed from the Canadian show which I have found very funny (and even educational).

Do you think that you could be the worst driver in America? If not, do you know someone you’d like to nominate?

Right now, the Travel Channel is having a casting call in the following cities: New York, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, Dallas, Seattle and San Francisco. Apply now for your chance to represent your city by sending an email to WorstDriverCasting@TravelChannel.com. Make sure you include your name, age, contact info, a recent photo and a brief description of why you could be America’s worst driver.

I love the Canadian version so I am definitely planning on tuning in (no premiere date has been announced).

Beijing is steeped in food traditions, but to Western palates, some of the offerings may seem a little odd at first. Still, there’s always the city’s signature dish, “Peking duck.” This video from the Travel Channel looks at the various food in Beijing.
