“The Karate Kid” Gets New Trailer

A new trailer has been released to support the forthcoming film, The Karate Kid, which stars Jaden Smith (son of Will Smith) and Jackie Chan.

In this film, Jaden plays the role of Dre, who move with his mother to China from Detroit. As what happens with the original Karate Kid, he is bullied and teased by his classmates.

After being bullied, he meets maintenance man, Mr. Han (Jackie Chan) who teaches Dre how to defend himself. Even though the movie’s title suggests we’ll be seeing some karate, the story is actually about kung fu.

You can take a look at the trailer for the film below. You may recognize Dre’s mother, who is played by Taraji P. Henson. Taraji starred in the highly acclaimed film The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.

I don’t know if I’m feeling this. We’ll see how it turns out!

In Theatres Now: “Shutter Island”

Looking to spend your Friday night out at the movie theatre? You might be interested in the film, Shutter Island. The movie, directed by Martin Scorsese, is based on the 2003 novel, written by Dennis Lehane.

The film has a pretty great cast including Leonardo DiCaprio, Ben Kingsley and Michelle Williams. It is set back in 1954 where U.S. Marshal Teddy Daniels (DiCaprio) is searching for a murderess, who disappears from a hospital for the criminally insane. The hospital is located on – you guessed it- Shutter Island.

On DVD Now: “Law Abiding Citizen”

Out this week on DVD and Blu-ray is Law Abiding Citizen, starring Gerard Butler and Jamie Foxx. Butler stars as Clyde Shelton, a man who witnesses his wife and family being murdered.

The killer makes a deal with prosecutor Nick Rice (Jamie Foxx). The deal puts the accomplice, on death row, while the real murderer gets away with it.

The truth comes out and Clyde issues a warning to prosecutor, Nick Rice to fix the justice system, or else people will die. It’s from his jail cell that Clyde wreaks havoc on everyone involved in the case and Nick must rush to fix it.

Reviews for the film haven’t been great, claiming that the acting was subpar. Box office sales for the film were $73,343,413.

“The Back-Up Plan” Gets New Trailer

A new international trailer has been released of Jennifer Lopez’s new film, The Back-Up Plan. The film follows the life of a woman who desperately wants to have a baby and can’t seem to find the right guy. She eventually grows impatient and decides to go through artificial insemination.

As you can probably guess, Mr. Right (played by Alex O’Loughlin) walks into her life not long after she realizes she’s pregnant! She hides it from him during at first, but when she reveals the news, he is more than willing to be involved in the baby’s life.

The movie is directed by Alan Poul and will be released in theaters on April 16th.

Sacred Rings: A New Game

The Adventure Company is looking to release a new adventure game entitled The Sacred Rings. Apparently The Sacred Rings is a sequel to another adventure game I never played called Aura: Fates of the Ages. Apparently you stole a bunch of stuff from some bad guys in Aura: Fate of the Ages and now in The Sacred Rings, the bad guys try to get even by sending an army of evil weird looking guys after their stolen items.

I think this is a new face they put on Mount Rushmore with all the presidents.

What does this teach you as a person? Don’t steal evil people’s stuff, because they’ll send armies after you and try to kill you dead. With knives and axes and crap.

You can download the trailer over at WorthPlaying. It’s about 27mb, so if you’re on a dial up connection, you may want to go jump off a cliff or drown in a river made of your own tears.

How do you get your hair so silky smooth?

I’m just kidding. You don’t have to jump off a cliff if you have dialup. Don’t be so damn sensitive. The Adventuress still loves you whether you have to browse all her adventuring goodness with high speed or dial up.
