On DVD: “The Stepfather”
During a time of year when all of these sappy movies are focusing on the romantic side of love, movies like The Stepfather show what life is like when things go terribly wrong. I don’t care who judges me, I’m renting this movie. I wanted to see it when it came out in theaters but I wasn’t willing to spend good money on it. It’s a DVD movie (oh wait – I got a Blu-ray player for Christmas so…).

Here’s a movie that’s going to make blended families seem like a bad idea! The Stepfather opens in theaters today and, as the name suggests, the plot surrounds a family whose lives are endangered by a new man in the house.
In the film, Michael (Penn Badgley) comes home from military school to discover that his mom (Sela Ward) is currently shacking up with her new boyfriend, David (Dylan Walsh). Michael grows suspicious because David just seems too perfect.
