5 weeks in the the new year and I have yet to post a new Laugh It Up joke segment on Monday. It may come around again, but ultimately this blog is about health and I wanted to get it back on track even if jokes and laughing are good for mental and heart health.

Alcoholics Anonymous Rule #62 states: “Don’t Take Yourself Too Damn Serious.” (I googled it) This is a great rule and should be applied to everything and everyone in life too. A Dozen Steps, an Alcoholics Anonymous based blog, posted a few jokes very similar to the ones with the punch line; “…And he never heard the shot.“. Take these however you may, but in the end they are only jokes and whether you belong to A.A. or not…don’t take yourself too damn serious.

One year, a husband decided to buy his mother-in-law a cemetery plot As a Christmas gift. The next year, he didn’t buy her a gift.
When she asked him why, he replied, “Well, you still haven’t used the gift I bought you last year!”
