…and that’s it.
Yup.
No single player demo for you. Or me for that matter. While I understand Naughty Dog’s and Sony’s desire to show off Uncharted 2′s new multiplayer capabilities, the thing that made the first Uncharted so cool was the story.
A story that, though rather linear and movie like, was pretty damn engrossing and is what makes Uncharted 2 a game that I would like to play. However, I can’t say that I’m thrilled by the fact that a demo… More »
Imagine being able to set up your camera on a base station at a party — and the camera moves itself, searching the crowd for smiling faces and taking the photos for you.
The flying saucer-shaped Sony Party-Shot for your Sony WX1 or TX1 camera pans a full 360 degrees and tilts up to 24 degrees, auto-detecting picturesque moments, self-adjusting the frame’s composition, and taking all the photos for you.
The Party-Shot runs on AA batteries, enabling it to run for up… More »
Engadget, CNet and Kotaku are all abuzz right now over the rumored PS3 Slim that might, maybe, possibly be available in July.
July, folks.
While I have strong love feelings for my PS3, Darwin is a bit of a brick and while I don’t see myself tossing him anytime soon, a slimmer version would be a nice thing to dream about.
Here’s the original PS3 Slim link-have fun with the Google translation. It’s an interesting read.

Someone proves that a QWERTY keypad in a PSP is entirely possible, thanks to folklord36’s modded PSP which combines the essentials of a laptop and the gaming power of a PSP. With a Xbox Chat Pad, relocated speakers, LED lighting and more zany power ups, this operated Sony portable machine is way better than the upcoming PSP Go.

The Shrine Auditorium was the site for Sony’s E3 2009 Media Briefing Tuesday morning, where the big news was the PSP Go, God of War III, and the upcoming PlayStation motion controller.
Sony kicked things off with this slick video that introduced us to the hardware and software of PlayStation:
Next, they showed us tons of game demos for the latest and greatest PS3 games, including Uncharted 2, where the crowd went wild over a firefight that ended inside a falling building:

It was LIKE I WAS THERE!
In all actuality, I was sitting on my couch with my laptop in my lap watching the Sony press conference live but still, like I was there!
Yes. I know. I’m a dork.
SO many cool things were introduced and lots of cool videos were shown . Also, demos were played and there was the announcement that 50 PSone games are coming to the PSN
All in all, it was a great press conference and I… More »
I know that there are “hard core” gamers out there who don’t like G4 but I’m a fan and you should be one as well.
Since I spotlighted GameSpot’s preview, I have to show G4′s thoughts on what they’re looking forward to with E3. Also, who doesn’t love Morgan Webb? I ♥ her.

Last week, Engadget posted some pictures of what many people have come to believe is the new sleeker, revamped PlayStation 3 (and who could blame Sony for trying?).
The thing is that there really isn’t any proof (yet) that this is the real deal. Something about the writing on the box feels very off (but creating this box had to take a lot of effort) and I’m not sure I can believe that Sony would dish out the kind of cash… More »
With over 20 million registered users around the world, the PlayStation Network or PSN is huge but it doesn’t mean worldwide PS3 sales are better. In order to promote PS3 (sorta), Sony intends to introduce PSN to other hardware (think HDTV, laptops?) under its brand.
So if you don’t have the PS3 or PSP, you can still enjoy the online content but you still need a controller to play online games, if you know what I mean.

The economic storm, financial crisis or bad money outlook. Whatever name it takes, there are losses and job cuts everywhere, including the video games industry. Microsoft and Sony have slashed their manpower but the big N reports record profit.

The trial one-hour version of Final Fantasy XIII may help the Sony PlayStation 3 to outsell the Nintendo Wii in Japan for the second month. 108,530 units of PS3 were sold as compared to 67,116 units of the Wii in April, said Enterbrain.
We do know that Sony is kinda struggling in the video games department but with blockbuster titles such as Street Fighter IV, Resident Evil 5 and FF XIII with cool fluid HD scenes, people may just buy the… More »
I LOVE my PS3. So much so in fact that I named him-Steve III. Don’t ask…I name all of my gadgets.
Steve III is a 20GB PS3 that was purchased right after the PS3′s launch.
You definitely pay a premium when you buy cutting edge technology while it’s still “cutting edge” and we paid an arm and a leg for the thing. I don’t begrudge paying what we did since I wanted the PS3 NOW but I think it’s funny that… More »
