The rumor was started when a supposed insider told the UK’s The Sun, "It’s under wraps for publicity reasons. It makes sense to film the second and third movies back-to-back… They’re keen to look as young as possible because that movie will be their last."

However, it looks as though the rumors that Samantha, Miranda, Charlotte and Carrie would be returning a third time, are false. A representative for New Line Cinema simply told Us magazine, "This is not true."

Sex and the City 2 will be released on May 28th, 2919.
