Betty White Turns 90

Betty White Turns 90

Betty White was funny on The Mary Tyler Moore Show and The Golden Girls, but in recent years, Betty has garnered a cult-like following. She was a big hit when she hosted Saturday Night Live and appears in many commercials.

Today, Betty White turns 90. The last surviving Golden Girl, White doesn’t appear to be slowing down. On Monday, she was celebrated in a star-studded TV special on NBC — “Betty White’s 90th Birthday: A tribute to America’s Golden Girl.” And… More »

Diddy-Dirty Money on SNL

Diddy-Dirty Money on SNL

Diddy-Dirty Money, the new group from Sean Combs, was on Saturday Night Live on December 4, 2010. In case you missed the show, we have a few videos below.

The group features Diddy along with band members (don’t call them backup singers) Dawn Richard and Kalenna. Most people would agree that less Diddy was more on Saturday as “Ass of the Floor” (feat. Swizz Beatz) was better than “Coming Home.”

The group’s debut album Last Train to Paris hits stores on… More »

Music Video: “No Love” featuring Eminem and Lil’ Wayne

Music Video: "No Love" featuring Eminem and Lil' Wayne

One of the hottest music videos in the hip hop world is “No Love” featuring Eminem and Lil’ Wayne. It’s the third single from Eminem’s Recovery album. The song features two verses — the first one by Lil’ Wayne, the second by Eminem. It also features a sample of “What is Love”, the 1993 song by Haddaway that was made famous on Saturday Night Live.

“No Love” is about how both Lil’ Wayne and Eminem have been let down over the… More »

Tina Fey May Return as Palin on “SNL”

Tina Fey May Return as Palin on “SNL”

Former Saturday Night Live cast member, Tina Fey, is set to return to the show as the host in April and many have been wondering whether she could possibly be reprising her role as former Alaskan governor, Sarah Palin.

Fey’s impression of Palin gained immense popularity during the 2008 Presidential Elections, in which Sarah was running for Vice President alongside senator John McCain.

When asked about returning and cracking out the sketch again, Tina responded, “It’s inevitable that we’ll try it, at… More »

Saturday Night Live “Best of Amy Poehler”

Saturday Night Live âBest of Amy Poehlerâ

Amy Poehler left Saturday Night Live to join the cast of Parks and Recreation but I’ve got to say that I’ve been watching SNL for more than two decades and she was one of my favorite cast members ever.  She had to many memorable skits and I just thought she had great timing and an uncanny ability to stay in character. Saturday Night Live: The Best of Amy Poehler will be released tomorrow and I’m thinking of picking… More »

Saturday Night Live Makes Changes

Saturday Night Live Makes Changes

Two cast members have left Saturday Night Live – one I’m sad about and the other makes me very happy.  Michaela Watkins didn’t particularly stand out on her own but I thought that three of her regular skits were pretty funny.  You may know her for her portrayals of Barbara Walters from The View as well as Hoda Hotb of the Today show and I felt she did a very good job mimicking those ladies.  She also appeared… More »

Will Ferrell Hosts Saturday Night Live

Will Ferrell Hosts Saturday Night Live

Former cast member, Will Ferrell, hosted Saturday Night Live last night and, as you might expect, it was pretty hilarious.  I think the best part was that he reprised many of his most famous characters.

He put the moustache and suit back on for Celebrity Jeopardy where Tom Hanks just suddenly appeared on the show as one of the contestants (he was up against Kathie Lee Gifford and, of course, Sean Connery).  There was a surprise addition to the skit a… More »

Win a Copy of âThe Best of Adam Sandlerâ

Did you love Saturday Night Live back when Adam Sandler was on the show?  I think that was my favorite time period since there was just so much undiscovered talent working together (Chris Farley, David Spade, Mike Myers, Rob Schneider, etc…) and it was a lot of fun to watch.

I received a copy of Saturday Night Live: Best of Adam Sandler and I thought it would make a great prize for a giveaway!

The DVD is filled with memorable moments… More »

Michael Phelps at the Video Music Awards

Michael Phelps at the Video Music Awards

var iamInit = function() {try{initIamServingHandler(320,437,80145,”http://pis.picapp.com/IamProd/Resources/Css/css2.css”)}catch(ex){}}()Michael Phelps continues his whirlwind, post-Olympics promotional tour around the United States. Poor guy: he hasn’t even been home to Baltimore since Beijing. Last Sunday he talked with music stars and presented at MTV’s Video Music Awards in Hollywood. I think he could have done a little better with his wardrobe choices, but what the heck, he’s used to the pool, not the red carpet. This Saturday, September 13, he’s hosting “Saturday Night Live”… More »

The Phelps Phenomenon

The Phelps Phenomenon

If Michael Phelps thought that he was going to come home after winning eight Gold Medals at the Beijing Olympics and relax (as he indicated after his last race), he was being slightly naive. Seemingly everyone wants to be seen with the new sport superstar. Just back in the United States for a few days, Phelps has already been scheduled to present at the Video Music Awards on September 7, appear on the “Jay Leno Show” on September 8, and… More »
