The newest downloadable song pack for Rock Band will feature 6 country songs that will help keep all the country camps happy.

Featured artist in the download are:

• Kenny Chesney – “She Thinks My Tractor’s Sexy”
• Montgomery Gentry – “Gone”
• Rascal Flatts – “Me and My Gang”
• Sara Evans – “Suds in the Bucket”
• Trace Adkins – “Swing”
• Willie Nelson – “On the Road Again”

If you’re rocking out on the PS3, you’ll have to wait a couple of extra days to play [Feb. 4th] while 360 and Wii player will get the download on Tuesday.

Fear not, rocking gamer, Tunecore has a deal for you.

For $1500 off the regular price of $2500, you can impress your friends fans with your own music for them to play instead of that crap that those other bands have on Rock Band.

All you have to do [other than coming up with the cash] is give Tunecore the sheet music to your tune and they’ll do everything else. Heck, you even get “royalties” and if 1,165 of your family members fans download your song, you’ll break even. And if you’re super lucky, you might even get picked as one of Tunecore’s favorite bands and get all of this stuff for free – they pick one band a month.

For the time being, your song will only be available on the Xbox 360 version of the game but have no fear, your songs will be available on other platforms later in the year.

If you have a really great song that you’d like to get some exposure on and you have the cash, this might be your way to break into the music industry…or at least you’d have some major bragging rights next time you’re playing Rock Band with your friends groupies.

When he’s supposed to be working, he’s actually on the internet. It helps him clear his head – or so he tells me.

So yesterday, while he was screwing around clearing his head, Tucker sent me a link to this video of a chick playing Avenged Sevenfold on Expert on Rock Band on the flute. I played flute in high school [don't laugh] and I suppose Tucker thought this video would be of interest to me.

About a minute into the video, I knew I had found internet and gaming gold. This girl is good!

I’ve had that tab open on my laptop since yesterday and totally meant to write about it then but life got in the way. So, when I sat down tonight to write about the video, I found that Engadget had already written about it so I must give them some credit.

Let’s get this out of the way right now: The Beatles: Rock Band is going to be HUGE. Record sales numbers will give way to new fans of the rhythmic gaming genre — people who’ve never even played a video game before.

I guarantee it. Take a look at the trailer:

The E3 demo I viewed for The Beatles: Rock Band included three songs performed for us by the staff of Harmonix. “I Feel Fine” is one of many songs set at historical locations, this one being Shea Stadium from early in the Beatles’ career. (The story mode campaign takes you on a journey through the Beatles’ career, chronologically.) A famous rooftop concert from later in their career hosted “Get Back,” which I have a clip of the demo performance below. For songs closer to the end of the Beatles’ career, coming from the era when the group stopped touring and focused on just recording in-studio, Harmonix created something it calls “Dreamscape Venues.” These are imaginary worlds with no audiences, based on the mood and lyrics of the song. For “Back in the U.S.S.R.,” which was the final song demoed for us, this took the form of red, Soviet-themed animations that were playful and creative.

The Beatles: Rock Band is less of a side-release for the series and more of a true sequel, almost Rock Band 3 in scope. Harmonix has completely overhauled the user interface, creating a slick new presentation that’s not only user-friendly, but is designed to appeal to the broad spectrum of music fans that the Beatles can bring in — be they gamers or not. Accessibility is a major focus of the game, leading off with a “No Fail” option that allows anyone to pick up and play without worrying about scoring so poorly that they’re dropped out of the song. And all 45 songs that come with the game will be playable right out of the box in Quick Play mode.

If you purchase the full package with hardware and all, you’ll get replicas of the Beatles’ most iconic and favorite instruments. For vocalists, the game introduces a first for music games: optional three-part harmony, which features a clever interactive component that lets the three vocalists help each other out to achieve higher scores.

The Beatles: Rock Band arrives in stores September 9, 2009. If you weren’t a fan of rhythmic gaming before now, you might just find yourself picking up a guitar or drumsticks to jam with the greatest band of all time.

We’re less than two days away from the official start of E3 here in sunny L.A., which begins on Tuesday (though a trio of major press conferences take place Monday). I got into town today and took a long walk around the Los Angeles Convention Center, where signs of E3 are popping up all over. If there was any doubt about this year’s event being a return to the truly big E3s of yesteryear, those thoughts were washed away by these larger-than-life sights around the convention center!

Mass Effect comes out this week for the 360 and the screenshots and plot have me wishing that this wasn’t a 360 exclusive game. There’s nothing like a little girl-on-girl action to really get the buzz going around a game. I hope you pre-ordered.

Another game that Santa might have a problem getting his creepy hands on is Rock Band. With the success of Guitar Hero 3, this promises to set some records and take the “band game” to the next level. Don’t forget to pick up your guitar, microphone, and drums.

Kane & Lynch: Dead Men hits this week for the PC, 360, and PS3 and the squad tactics look sweet!

Ghost Squad [Wii] is tapping into the “kill the terrorists” genre with the addition of the Wii Zapper. Expect tons of shoot-em up fun.

Time Crisis 4 [PS3] is another game with a gun tie-in. The GunCon 3 looks awesome and comes with the game when purchased through Amazon.

The granddaddy of shooters, Unreal, releases Unreal Tournament III this week for PC. Expect it for PS3 in March.

Next Life is another PC addition who’s plot caught my eye. Game play starts after a car wreck. Did you die or didn’t you?

Medal of Honor Airborne continues the World War II saga for PS3, PC and 360.

Soulcalibur Legends promises to be another great addition to the Wii’s “non-casual” arsenal

The DS offers a classic character, Mario, with a new twist in Mario Party DS as well as Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings.

I have to add Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune here since I didn’t include it last week.

Amazon has it releasing on the 19th while GameSpot says the 16th. Whatever the case, add it to your Christmas list.

There are a couple of others coming out this week, but the ones listed are the games that I would buy if I had the moola and the systems.
