]]> I’m surprised that Prison Break hasn’t been made into a game before now.

Usually, if things are going to happen then they happen right after a show is proven to be a hit. And heck, Prison Break started way back in 2005.

Maybe Deep Silver was just waiting to make sure the show was a sure thing?

The game is being billed as an action adventure which is a nice change from what you normally see with a show/game tie-in. Time will tell but this is what the CEO of Koch Media had to say about it.

From the release:

“The ingenious plots and fast action of “Prison Break” thrill TV audiences around the world, and provide the ideal basis for a video game,” says Dr. Klemens Kundratitz, CEO of Koch Media. “The game will offer the same blend of action and suspense as the show, appealing to fans of the series as well as video gamers.”

Release date hasn’t been announced yet but it will be out for “next gen” consoles and PC.

]]> Prison Break ended in a controversial way on May 24, 2009 but you can now own the four seasons on DVD.  The show began with an interesting concept.  A man named Michael Scofield (Wentworth prison break Miller) deliberately got himself sent to jail so that he would help his wrongfully accused brother, Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell), break out.

It’s amazing that they were able to stretch that storyline for more than a season but, somehow, they managed.  Prison Break debuted on August 29, 2005 to an estimated audience of 10.5 million viewers but the second season actually enjoyed slightly higher viewership (as a whole).

In the time that it was on the air, it won the 2006 People’s Choice Award for “Favorite New TV Drama” and was nominated at the 63rd Golden Globe Awards for “Best Drama Television Series” and “Best Actor in a Drama Television Series” (Wentworth Miller).

]]> Interesting announcement today regarding b5media’s new partnership with Fox and VIP Fan Clubs. The b5 Entertainment Channel is expanding.

As of today, we are partnering with VIP Fan Clubs to produce co-branded blogs for Fox Media’s TV shows. The initial test run is just 4 shows, but we are confident that the initial 4 will let us figure out the best way to cross-promote the blogs from both sides of this deal.

Through the partnership, b5media will be developing 4 new blogs (already launched) that focus on some great Fox shows. Each blog will pretty much become the one-stop shop for all things related to the show from a viewer’s perspective. If you have any interest in the shows, check them out!

I know with it being repeat season, I’m looking to grab Season 1 of 24 and try and start catching up on the action that’s been taking place there.
