I think that opening after the season premiere of Weeds was a very good thing for the new series which averaged 1.01 million viewers for it’s first showing and another 340,000 for the encore.  Apparently, that’s the best series premiere Showtime has ever had.  Wow!

I’m not surprised, though.  The plot is good (it works for House, right?) and Edie Falco is a great actress.  I didn’t actually get to see the first show but I plan on catching an encore soon.

Did you see it?  If you did, what did you think?  I believe that with Weeds and Nurse Jackie, Showtime will have a powerful hour of television for their Monday night lineup.
