Additionally, the video by National Geographic included a number of very interesting facts. Here are some of those average person on Earth facts:

  • The average person is 28 years old.
  • The average person is right handed.
  • The average person is Han Chinese.
  • The average person makes less than $12,000 per year.
  • The average person has a cell phone.
  • The average person goes without a bank account.

]]> Do you have an educational game on your gift list this year?  If so, you might want to consider National Geographic: Lost City of Z since I have played the National Geographic games in the past and they’ve all been pretty good.  Then again, this is coming from someone who loved Oregon Trail but come on – if you didn’t love that game there might be something wrong with you.

Lost City of Z takes place in 1925 after British Colonel Percy Fawcett traveled to the Mato Grosso region of Brazil with a small crew to search for the mysterious City of Z, a civilization that was considered to be “lost.”  Unfortunately, Fawcett and his crew never returned and now it’s up to you to figure out what happened.

Here are some details from the game description:
