By now you have probably heard about the film, SENNA, about the life and death of Formula One Brazilian race car driver, Ayrton Senna.

Spanning his years as a driver from 1984 to his untimely death a decade later, SENNA explores the life and work of the triple world champion, his physical and spiritual achievements on the track, his quest for perfection and the mythical status he has since attained. The film won the 2011 World Cinema Documentary Audience Award at the Sundance Film Festival and the 2011 Audience Award for Best International Feature at the Los Angeles Film Festival. As is usually the case between networks and cable providers, the dispute is over fees. And as can be expected, each company is blaming the other company.

Said a spokeswoman for Disney, which owns ABC: “Cablevision has once again betrayed its subscribers. Cablevision pocketed almost $8 billion last year, and now customers aren’t getting what they pay for … again.”

Said an executive VP for Cablevision: “It is now painfully clear to millions of New York area households that Disney CEO Bob Iger will hold his own ABC viewers hostage in order to extract $40 million in new fees from Cablevision.”

If you are one of the unlucky people affected by this battle between billion dollar companies, the best thing to do is to hook up an antenna and watch ABC for free. Another option is to try to find a live stream of ABC online.

The film is based on the 1963 children’s book by Maurice Sendak, which you may remember from your childhood, or from having introduced to your own kids.

The book is about a boy named Max who fools around his home in a wolf costume. His mother is annoyed by his mischievous behavior and decides to send him to bed without dinner.

Emerging from his imagination, Max enters a mysterious lands where he comes across what is known as The Wild Things, which are monsters. While there he makes a few realizations about his home life.

It could be an interesting film to watch the whole family. It’s available now on Blu-ray and DVD.

The movie is based on the prophecies of the ancient Mayan calendar which states that the world will come to an end on December 21, 2012.

Of course, in the film, everything falls apart in the year of 2012. It follows the life of Jackson Curtis (John Cusack) who tries to keep himself and his family alive in the presence of natural disaster and the apocalypse.

Others starring in the film include Amanda Peet, Danny Glover and Thandie Newton.

The film was directed by Roland Emmerich who seems to have a thing for disaster movies. He also directed Independence Day and The Day After Tomorrow.

The film is available now on DVD and Blu-ray.

The film is described as being “based on a real life tattle-tale.” It follows the story of Mark Whitacre who is entranced by the idea of helping the FBI in an investigation.

He works in the agricultural industry working for Archer Daniels Midland, which is accused of price-fixing. He decides he wants to help the FBI by wearing a wire and carrying around a tape recorder.

However, he frustrates the FBI with his constantly changing story, almost ruining the whole case. Matt Damon plays the lead role of Mark Whitacre. Also starring in the film are Scott Bakula, Joel McHale and Melanie Lynskey.

The Informant! is now available on DVD and Blu-ray.

It’s a remake of the Italian film, Stanna Tutti Benne and it stars a good cast. Appearing in the movie is Robert DeNiro, Kate Beckinsale, Drew Barrymore and Sam Rockwell.

It’s about a widowers who tries to fix his relationship with his troubled adult children. Traditionally, all of the children meet up together at their father’s home for the holidays, however, they all bailed without even giving a reason.

So, he decides to go to them instead. It’s here that he is able to reconnect with his family.

It looks like a feel-good kind of movie. Take a look at the trailer below.

In this film, Jaden plays the role of Dre, who move with his mother to China from Detroit. As what happens with the original Karate Kid, he is bullied and teased by his classmates.

After being bullied, he meets maintenance man, Mr. Han (Jackie Chan) who teaches Dre how to defend himself. Even though the movie’s title suggests we’ll be seeing some karate, the story is actually about kung fu.

You can take a look at the trailer for the film below. You may recognize Dre’s mother, who is played by Taraji P. Henson. Taraji starred in the highly acclaimed film The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.

I don’t know if I’m feeling this. We’ll see how it turns out!
