			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><img vspace="10" align="left" src="http://everyjoe.com/brandcurve/files/2007/06/olsen-twins.jpg" hspace="10" alt="olsen-twins.jpg" title="olsen-twins.jpg" />One of the biggest entertainment brands turns 21 today &#8211; the <a target="_blank" href="http://mary-kateandashley.com/">Olsen twins</a>.  Yes, those cute little twins from <a target="_blank" href="http://imdb.com/title/tt0092359/">&#8220;Full House&#8221;</a> have hit the legal age where all doors open to them.  Frankly, I don&#8217;t think this was a problem for them before, and it certainly never hurt the brand they spent a lifetime building.</p>
<p>Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen may have started out in Hollywood as child stars, but at the age of 6 when most kids are still mastering the alphabet, Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen started a production company, <a target="_blank" href="http://www.dualstarentertainmentgroup.com/">Dualstar Entertainment Group</a>.  Today, fourteen years later, the company has branched into just about every marketing endeavor you can think of with success all around.  It seems that everything the Olsen twins touch turns to gold.  Even with personal setbacks, the brand keeps going strong.  According to <a target="_blank" href="http://www.tvgasm.com/newsgasm/news/miscellaneous-tv/the-olsen-twins-turn-21.php">TVgasm</a>, Dualstar generates approximately $1 billion in sales per year, and the Olsen twins are worth a combined $100 million.  Not bad for a couple of child stars.<img vspace="10" align="right" src="http://everyjoe.com/brandcurve/files/2007/06/olsen-twins-2.thumbnail.jpg" hspace="10" alt="olsen-twins-2.jpg" title="olsen-twins-2.jpg" /></p>
<p>The Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen certainly seem to have a strong marketing team behind them.  As they neared adulthood, many people in the entertainment and business worlds questioned if their brand could continue on the strong ride it had enjoyed for so many years.  Now, the twins can legally belly up to the bar and order an apply martini, and they&#8217;re brand shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon.  The question simply is, what creative marketing strategy will they pursue next.</p>
