London-born actress Kate Beckinsale is best known for movies such as Pearl Harbor, Serendipity and Underworld, and more recently Click and Nothing But the Truth. Kate is often recognized for her beauty and was named Esquire Magazine’s Sexiest Woman Alive in 2009. If you want to see Kate at her sexy best, check out the Esquire video below. Whiteout hit theaters yesterday and the reviews so far have not been great. As of this moment, Rotten Tomatoes has assigned it a rating of 7%. If the movie really is that bad it sucks because they have been promoting it like crazy.

The story unfolds in Antarctica where (as the trailer points out in a scary voice) there is “no permanent population,” “no horizon” and “no shadows.” Of course, there’s lots of snow out there which seems to make it a great place for unexplained phenomena.

I’ve heard people compare it to Cloverfield but I think it looks more like Event Horizon or Sphere since it’s all about a crew being attacked by some strangeness in a desolate place.

Check out the trailer. I’ve got to say that Kate Beckinsale is still looking pretty hot but that hair is atrocious.

Victoria Beckham’s Posh Birthday Party

Last week we mentioned that Victoria Beckham turned 34. We posed 10 questions, one of which involved our curiosity as to whether the erstwhile Posh Spice smiled on her birthday. To that we can’t attest one way or the other, but we can certainly see by Exhibit A here that grins still aren’t a priority for David Beckham‘s bustier half, seen here shopping yesterday:

We didn’t get invited to the birthday party (that’s 34 straight snubs, in case you were wondering), but MSN Hot Gossip‘s rundown of the celebratory and celebrity-filled shindig reads like a Who’s Who in Hollywood: Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes, Kate Beckinsale, Will Smith, Jada Pinkett Smith, Eva Longoria, Elton John, and Usher. Oh, and Gwen Stefani, Gavin Rossdale, Diddy, Kim Porter, and Heidi Klum were there, too. (WTF? What about Seal? Was he snubbed, too?)

Word is there were lots of ballons, streamers, cupcakes, paintball, and a make-your-own sundae station.

Yes, that last line was a joke. You don’t think VB actually consumes cupcakes and sundaes, do you?
