As you’ve no doubt heard, Jay-Z and Beyonce have welcomed their daughter to the world. Named Blue Ivy Carter, Jay-z and Beyonce’s daughter is destined for superstardom. In fact, seconds after being born, Blue Ivy was featured on a Jay-Z song.

For proof, listen to the Jay-Z song at the end of this entry dedicated to Beyonce’s daughter.

The song is called “Glory” and you can hear Blue Ivy crying on the track. Honestly, while the song is from the heart, it’s pretty damn weak. Jay-Z’s lyrics are really basic and the beat is wack.

Kanye West is known for pushing the envelope when it comes to fashion. While he’s a hip hop artist, he’s not afraid to steal fashion ideas from all walks of the entertainment industry. That trait was on display in one of his recent concert.

As you can see in the pictures below, Kanye West wore a kilt. Or, depending on your definition, Kanye West wore a skirt. Either way, I’m not digging this look. Kanye West has enough money to come up with a cooler getup than this.

These Kanye West pictures were taken in Atlanta as he began the Watch The Throne Tour. The tour features Kanye West and Jay-Z and is sure to attract fans by the million.

Video: Jay-Z Doesn’t Clap for Chris Brown

Chris Brown got rave reviews for his dancing at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards. However, there was at least one person who wasn’t impressed: hip hop mogul Jay-Z. Even though he should have been in a good mood due to Beyonce being pregnant, Jay-Z refused to clap for Chris Brown’s performance. Watch the Jay-Z video below to see his Chris Brown diss.

Why doesn’t Jay-Z like Chris Brown? Most likely, it has to do with Rihanna. Chris Brown infamously hit Rihanna in the face and Rihanna is a Jay-Z protege. Jay-Z apparently doesn’t take kindly to woman beaters.

Either that or Jay-Z was just laid back and didn’t want to waste the energy to clap his hands together. With Kanye West and Justin Bieber nearly losing it, there was more than enough excitement already.

NBA has Problem with Jay-Z

One of Jay-Z’s 99 problems could be with the NBA. Tim Frank, a spokesman for the NBA, has confirmed that Jay-Z is under investigation for visiting players of the Kentucky basketball team in the locker room after the team beat North Carolina. Why is this an issue? Jay-Z is a minority owner of the New Jersey Nets and owners aren’t allowed to have contact with college basketball players during the season.

This is a tricky issue because it’s highly doubtful that Jay-Z was visiting the Kentucky players for any reason related to the Nets. Jay-Z has long been a basketball fan and is a favorite among players around the world. It was merely a celebrity hanging out in a locker room.

Will the NBA see it that way?

Probably not. If they are investigating, it’s probably too late to sweep it under the rug. They may still give Jay-Z a warning, although a fine may be in order.

Pictures: Foxy Brown in her Prime

Last week, Foxy Brown got kicked out of a fashion show in New York City. The former star in the hip hop game supposedly showed up drunk hours after she was scheduled to perform at the fashion show. Foxy Brown then allegedly locked herself in a bathroom and had to be removed by security.

In the late 1990s, Foxy Brown was at the top of her game. She released Ill Na Na in 1996, a platinum album that featured Jay-Z and Method Man. After Ill Na Na, she partnered with Nas, Nature and AZ to form The Firm. Her next solo album, Chyna Doll in 1999, also went platinum.

Since then, Foxy Brown’s career was been on the decline. Her records aren’t selling as well. She’s been in trouble with the law. Her looks haven’t been as smokin’. All in all, she’s not a factor in the hip hip world anymore.

Music Video: Monster by Kanye West

Check out the hot new video for “Monster”, the track by Kanye West featuring Jay-Z, Nicki Minaj and Rick Ross. While some critics have said “Monster” is one of the weakest songs on Kanye West’s new album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, there’s no denying that the “Monster” music video is sick. Very well done and fits the song perfectly.

There are a number of slick shots in this video. Kanye West in the bed with two lifeless girls, Jay-Z rapping with the dead chick on the couch, Kanye West holding the girl’s head and of course Nicki Minaj’s sexy verse.

Leaked: Syllables by Eminem feat. Jay-Z and Dr. Dre

I knew Eminem song has been leaked onto the internet. Well, it’s not exactly new. It was reportedly recorded in 2007 but it was never released. The song, called “Syllables”, features Jay-Z and Dr. Dre along with Stat Quo and Cashis. The song is about how nobody cares about lyrics anyone more in hip hop. Instead, it’s all about a good beat and a catchy chorus.

Personally, I think “Syllables” is a great song. It rings so true. If you turn on a hip hop radio station, virtually every song uses the same formula. Lyrics, it seems, have been eliminated from that formula.

The funniest part of the song is when Eminem starts singing the chorus, which mocks the wack hip hop choruses we hear today.

If you like Eminem or you are tired of the current hip hop formula, you’ll appreciate this song. Here’s the video for “Syllables” by Eminem featuring Jay-Z and Dr. Dre.

Jay-Z’s “On to The Next One” Music Video

Rap mogul, Jay-Z has recently released the music video for his newest single, “On to the Next One.” The single is off of his newest album, The Blueprint 3 and features the talents of Swizz Beatz.

The video is pretty interesting, featuring several symbolic images. Unfortunately, the rapper has been accused by some as being associated with the Masons as well as being a devil worshiper, because of the video. Lame.
