Actress Gloria Stuart died on Sunday at her home in West Los Angeles at the age of 100. Though the actress starred in a number of films in the 1930s, you probably know Stuart from her Oscar-nominated performance as the 101-year-old version of Kate Winslet’s character Rose in the 1997 film, “Titanic.”
According to her daughter, Stuart had been diagnosed with lung cancer several years ago.

You may have heard of this little mega-budget blockbuster called Avatar (due in theaters this December), which is director James Cameron’s first film since Titanic. Panasonic is teaming with 20th Century Fox to help promote the film, providing its “Full HD 3D” technology to help launch a global advertising campaign.
