“Iron Man 2” Coming to IMAX

“Iron Man 2” Coming to IMAX

I loved the first Iron Man movie and I can’t wait for Iron Man 2 to come out and now I’m even more excited – it has been announced that the sequel will be coming to IMAX theaters on May 7, 2010.  How cool is that?

It’s not going to simply be adapted to fit the screen as is usually the case. Instead, it will be digitally remastered using IMAX DMR technology to give it a clearer, sharper image and better… More »

Another New “Iron Man” Trailer

Another New “Iron Man” Trailer

Have you seen the newest trailer for Iron Man 2?  It has restored my hope that this second installment is not going to ruin the franchise.  I can’t make up my mind completely until I’ve seen the actual movie, of course, but this trailer looks quite good.

As if Tony Stark wasn’t already cocky enough, he’s gotten downright overconfident and fails to realize that he’s made himself a target which isn’t a good thing considering the fact that, before Stark’s transformation,… More »

“Whiplash” Poster For Iron Man 2

“Whiplash” Poster For Iron Man 2

I’m really looking forward to seeing Mickey Rourke bring Whiplash to life in the upcoming Iron Man sequel.  I’m pretty impressed by the pictures so far, including this poster which was released late last week.  He looks perfect, in my opinion, so I’m hoping his character makes up for the fact that I really believe there are too many superheroes and villains in this movie.

What do you think of this poster?  I have to laugh at the lame newspaper clippings… More »

New “Iron Man 2” Poster Includes War Machine

New “Iron Man 2” Poster Includes War Machine

I loved Iron Man.  It was my favorite superhero movie in a long time and it’s definitely among my very favorites.  I’m looking forward to seeing the sequel even though I’m not entirely sure it’s a good idea to include so many new characters and I’m definitely disappointed that Terrence Howard will not be returning as James “Rhodey” Rhodes.

The film is being released on May 7, 2009 with Don Cheadle replacing Howard.  Rhodey will eventually become War Machine who is… More »

More “Iron Man 2” Production Stills

More “Iron Man 2” Production Stills

Some more productions stills from Iron Man 2 have surfaced and, while they aren’t totally revealing, they do provide a glimpse into what Don Cheadle looks like as Rhodey.  Plus, I don’t know how this is possible but it almost looks like they’ve managed to make Robert Downey Jr. look younger.

I’m also going to just confess that I really hate the casting of Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow.  There.  I’ve said it.  I’m not a huge fan of hers… More »

First Look: Mickey Rourke in Iron Man 2

First Look: Mickey Rourke in Iron Man 2

Images of Mickey Rourke in the upcoming Iron Man 2 have begin to surface and I think that he looks great.  Rourke will be taking on the role of Whiplash in the highly anticipated sequel.

The character first made an appearance in 1968 in the Tales of Suspense #97 comic book and has gone through several transformations over the years and became known as Blacklash in Iron Man #146 (May 1981).

In the movie, Rourke will be Russian prisoner, Ivan Vanko, so… More »

Nick Fury Revealed in Iron Man 2 Shots

Nick Fury Revealed in Iron Man 2 Shots

Nick Fury has been revealed in the new production stills from Iron Man 2 and I have to say that I like what I’ve seen.  I know some people are still clinging to the character’s old look but he was reworked to be more like Samuel Jackson, therefore, there is no better actor on the planet to bring Fury to life than Sam Jackson himself.  I can’t help it.  I think the man looks cool in basically anything he does… More »

Howard Says Iron Man 2 Execs Made Mistake

Howard Says Iron Man 2 Execs Made Mistake

Terrence Howard is letting the whole world know how he feels about being replaced by Don Cheadle in the highly anticipated Iron Man sequel.  “Marvel made a choice, and it was a very, very bad choice,” said Howard.  “They didn’t keep their word. They didn’t honor my contract.”

Apparently, the producers backpedaled on an agreement to share the film’s profits with the actors.  It’s a heft ransom when you consider the fact that the movie made more than $318 million.  “They… More »
