Amazon vs. Netflix

The Disney-ABC streaming content involved in the Amazon deal includes Lost, Grey’s Anatomy, Phineas and Ferb, Felicity, Greek and X-Men Evolution.

Netflix announced a similar deal with Disney-ABC, however that was just more of the same; Netflix was already showing Disney ABC streaming content.

Since raising prices, Netflix has lost nearly one million subscribers. Amazon Instant Video, which is free for any subscribers of Amazon Prime, continues to add more and more subscribers each month.

The show has been renewed for a 10-episode run, which will start up again later this year. Believe it or not, this fourth season will make Greek ABC Family’s longest running series.

If you’re unfamiliar with the show, it’s about college students attending Cyprus Rhodes University.  The characters are involved in the fictional fraternities Kappa Tau Gamma (ΚΤΓ) and Omega Chi Delta as well as the sorority Zeta Beta Zeta.

Looks like fans of the show have a long time to wait until season four starts again. It will be returning on January 25 of 2010. Greek airs on Mondays at 10/9c.
