			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Last month I talked about some research which determined that <a href="http://everyjoe.com/buzznetworker/why-do-people-use-the-web/">intent was the new demographic</a>. This quote from <a href="http://www.twitter.com/ruderfinn">Ruder Finn </a>co-CEO Kathy Bloomgarden</p>
<p>&#8220;“Delving deeper into the underlying motivations of online behavior is critical to developing proactive strategies. Just being online is not enough to leverage digital channels to drive business imperatives. <strong>Audiences must be targeted based upon their intent</strong>.”</p>
<p>This made me want to find out more. <p>It was a fascinating insight which made me think much more about why people are using the web, rather than why I <strong>WANT</strong> them to use the web. For networking purposes there is a huge difference and sometimes as we go about our web networking we forget that&#8230;..yet never has there been a better opportunity to analyse the intent.</p>
